With Docue you are able to sign your documents electronically which saves a lot of time, hassle and paper. This article will walk you through the process of sending the signing invitations for your document.

There are two different methods for signing a document:

  • E-signing: The signature is drawn on the screen of a mobile device with your finger or mouse.

  • Strong electronic authentication: The signature is made using online banking credentials or a mobile certificate (this is currently only available for users in Sweden and Finland).

Signature settings

Once you have finished drafting your document and selected a signing method, you can optionally set signature settings, such as:

  • Due date

  • Remind signees

  • Edit sender name

  • Add a message

Confirming completion

After selecting the signing method and defining the settings, you can complete the document by choosing whether to send the invitations immediately or manually in the next step. Even if you choose to send the invitations automatically, you can send the signature invitations again later if needed.

In the next step, you can:

  1. See the status of your document: e.g. in signing, draft, or completed.

  2. Resend the signature invitations.

  3. Sign the document yourself.

You can also:

  • Invite again: Send an invitation to an individual party by email and/or text message.

  • Share signing link: Save the signature link and share it with the party through your desired route.

  • Remove a signee **Note: Removing a signee is only possible with a touch screen signature).
